About Priyaraa
Priyaraa was born in the ancient land of Mithila, where Madhubani painting first emerged as sacred art during the wedding of Ram and Sita. What began as ritual became a living tradition passed through generations of women artisans.
Rooted in Heritage
Priyaraa is not merely inspired by Mithila — it belongs to it. Our founder comes from this very region, where art is absorbed through life, memory, and culture. Each creation carries the spirit of a tradition that has lived in homes, rituals, and stories for centuries.
Hand-Painted by Artisans
Every Priyaraa piece is entirely hand-painted by Mithila artisans using inherited techniques. No printing or tracing is used. Each line is drawn freehand, which means no two creations are ever identical — even the same design, when painted again, is reborn with a new hand and soul.
Women-Led Tradition
Madhubani has always been sustained by women, passed from mother to daughter through generations. Priyaraa stands within this lineage, supporting artisans and preserving this living cultural heritage with dignity.
Our Vision
Priyaraa envisions Madhubani as a globally recognised symbol of Indian heritage — not a trend, but a timeless art form. As the brand grows into new forms and collections, its soul remains unchanged: hand-painted, heritage-led, and deeply human.
Our Mission
To preserve and elevate the living heritage of Mithila by supporting its artisans and bringing authentic hand-painted art into contemporary life. Through every Priyaraa creation, we strive to ensure this tradition continues with dignity, relevance, and global recognition.
